Hi members of the Chrono Users Forum,

If you have a bit of time and interest in learning more about Chrono and how it’s used in real-world applications, Radu, Luning, and I warmly invite you to participate in the 2025 edition of the Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting.

Event overview and schedule: https://sbel.wisc.edu/outreach/magic/magic-2025/

Register here: https://charge.wisc.edu/GraingerInstitute/magic
Note: Registration is free for individuals from academia or employees of state/federal agencies—please contact us for details.

Schedule highlights:

  • September 9 – Chrono Tutorials (using PyChrono): Topics include terramechanics, fluid-solid interaction, DEM, Gym Chrono, and Chrono for robot control & reinforcement learning
  • September 10 – First day of talks, concluding with a poster session
  • September 11 – Final day of talks

While not all talks focus exclusively on Chrono, several will showcase how it’s applied in practical settings.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help with logistics.

Warm regards,
Dan, Radu, and Luning

Hello Prof Dan,

I am trying to register for the MaGIC meeting, but I am stuck on the payment details page. Since it was noted as free for students, will it be reimbursed, or is there a promo code for registration?

Best regards,
Nnamdi

To all the folks on this forum – there is a promo code for students, researchers, and professors from academia. There is also one for folks who work for the federal or state government. Or for non-profits. All these categories register for free.

For companies, the registration is $150, for three days.

Nnamdi: I’ll share the coupon code in a separate email.

Dan
