[Question] about multicore and large simulations

Hi Project Chrono community!!!

I just began using chrono, and in particular the multicore module (plus the vsg module for visualization).

I saw some pictures of massive granular simulations in the cover page of the official site, and I wonder how those were done?

Is chrono and its multicore module limited to a single node in hpc clusters?
I did find a page in the site talking about MPI and DDS in chrono, but I do not understand what they are for or how they are used in chrono...

At last, I wonder where I can find useful info on managing large simulations?
