Release 10.0.0

We just released version 10.0.0 of the Chrono software.  The source for this release is in the release/10.0 branch of the GitHub repository, under tag 10.0.0. Development continues in the main branch.

Corresponding PyChrono conda packages are available at: https://anaconda.org/projectchrono/pychrono/files (with label ‘release’).

 

Some of the new features and capabilities in Chrono v10.0.0 include:

• refactored Chrono::FSI module with support for both an SPH-based and TDPF-based fluid solvers
• simulation of meshless material with the peridynamics approach (new Chrono::Peridynamics module)
• new camera sensor features in the Chrono::Sensor module
• support for checkpointing for Chrono and Chrono::Vehicle simulations
• new Jacobian update strategies for implicit integrators
• new features in the VSG-based run-time visualization system, including a mechanism for extensions via a plugin mechanism
• refactored build system using modern CMake
