Hi,

I had raised the issue #601 in relation to functionality in 9.0.0 and was directed to install 9.0.1. This led to an issue where the sensor simulation examples did not function due to errors. I rebuilt some of the sensor simulation examples into the code that I have attached with this email and am still running into issues with LIDAR and camera simulation. Can anyone help me debug this? I get a LIDAR buffer of length 0x1 every time I run this code. Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards,

Sorry – somehow the attachment for some reason didn’t make it.

Can you retry?

Also, is this Chrono or PyChrono? What platform is this – Linux, Windows, MacOS? If the latter, we do not have support for camera/lidar sim since we require an NVIDIA GPU.

Dan

Hi Prof. Negrut,

I have reattached the file that I shared earlier as a zip. I think Google might have blocked it given that it was a python file. The system and environment setup is as provided:

Chrono Version : PyChrono 9.0.1
Python Version : 3.10.15
Platform : Windows
GPU : RTX 4090

Warm Regards,
Srivatsank P

Hi Srivatsank – please try to install PyChrono following the instructions here: https://uwmadison.app.box.com/file/1973845221315?s=asca8fvry1zeiqlimq3uv9nsajol41ed.

This install has been tested more extensively quite recently.
