Not that this is important, just exploring a thought: can it be that the Chenjesu are a Taalo creation? A form of cyber-/robo-Taalo, or an experimental synthetic sub-Taalo species designed to be temporary personality-containers, or something connected to their hyperwave sensing ability?

I'm not really concerned about how rare silicon life is in the universe, nor do I understand how more abundant silicon life raise the quality of sci-fi.
The idea introduces the thought that non-carbon based lifeforms may also have the need to create other, "mechanical" versions of themselves -- that being a cyborg is not a privilege of flesh-people. That's all.
