To fix the download/breaking issues (on Windows at least...), do the
following:

1. Manually download the following packages from above:
a. Windows Installer package
b. Base content package
c. Alien voices package
d. High quality music package
e. 640 x 480 Graphics package
f. 1280 x 960 Graphics package

2. Run the Windows Installer package (package "a" in my notes above)...it
will install the program to "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Ur-Quan Masters
project6014 demo\". You'll get some errors during the install...just
ignore them and move past them to complete the installation.

3. Once the install is finished, browse to "C:\Program Files (x86)\The
Ur-Quan Masters project6014 demo\content\packages" and you'll only see
one .uqm file (that's the "content" file which is package "b" in my notes
above). Go to your downloads and manually copy and paste the other
packages into this "packages" directory (these are packages "c", "d", "e",
and "f" in my notes above).

4. Start the game. It'll be tiny at first, but scroll down to "Setup" and
then select "Graphics Options". The best settings to choose IMHO are...
a. Resolution = 1280x960
b. Stretch GFX? = Disabled
c. Display = Windowed
d. Scaler - HQ
e. Scanlines = Enabled

5. On #4 above, just scroll through the menu, select the video setting that
you want, and press "enter". You won't see any kind of "save" or "apply",
and at first, nothing will change, but after you select all your options
and move back down to "Return to the main menu" and then follow that up
with "Quit Setup Menu", all of your selected graphics options will suddenly
kick in.

**********your game should now work*************

And there was much rejoicing....yaaaaay.
