What steps will reproduce the problem?
It has a tiny window which it won't let me re-size or maximise

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tiny (about 1/10 screen size) window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 8

I'm surprised nobody else has raised this but it didn't come up on any
searches

you have to download all the additional Hire's files and put them into the
addons folder which i assume is empty if your having this problem.
