I'll second/third that. I was just discussing the "busy work/1980s
middle school assignment" factor with my wife the other day (do we
need to bring glue stick?). I wish I could say our topic and assigned
product is one I'm passionate about, but cannot. It would be nice to
incorporate one of the many things I'm sure we're all doing in our
professional lives more directly into our EL work. Regardless, here's
my latest thinking as July looms:
1. Continue with the positive networking aspect (if it were just that,
I'd be a satisfied customer:)
2. Crank out our poster prep work (I am dedicating Saturday AM to the
project, come hell or high water).
3. Set up a couple more meetings (Sunday PMs are now bad for me)
4. Meet in Chicago, assemble our poster, go to a nice bar and catch up
(which I am very much looking forward to :)
5. Stand by our poster for the required period of time (we'll need a
cardboard cut-out of Dawn--perhaps we could sacrifice part of our
poster board's real estate?).
6. Attend some sessions and repeat number 4.
Talk to you soon,
Steve

> Suzanna, thanks for sending this email. Wow, they are saying the same exact things we said. I hope this will help the EL program to be reorganized. I think it is a good idea; however, right now, it is disappointing. I am very grateful for meeting you guys, but the program has not been what I expected at all.
