Dear Madam/Sir,
The School Development and Monitoring Committee Coordination Forum
(SDMCCF) in Collaboration with Centre for Child and the Law, National
Law School of India University and with the Support of Karnataka State
Primary School Teachers Association (KSPSTA) and the Karnataka State
Midday Meal Workers Organization is organizing a Mammoth Convention to
oppose all forms of Privatisation, Commoditisation , Corporatisation
and Public Private Partnership for profit in the field of Public
Education. The Convention aims to Save, Strengthen and Transform
Government Schools into genuine Neighbourhood Schools to ensure
equitable quality education to all children. The convention will be held
on 11^th January at 11am at Government Higher Primary School, Nagavara,
Channapattana, Ramnagara District, Karnataka State.
Mohammad Mohsin,IAS, the Commissioner of Public Instruction will
inaugurate the convention. Prof.Kalegowda Nagavara will preside over the
meeting. Shri.Bellashetty, Joint Director Midday Meals Programme;
Shri.Basavaraj Gurikar, President, KSPSTA; Shri.Prahaladgowda, Joint
Director, TBF; Shri.Narayana Swamy , General Secretary ,KSPSTA and
Shri. Ramoji Gowda, President, State Graduates Forum will participate as
chief guests in the convention. Dr.Niranjanradhya.V.P, Fellow and
Programme Head , CCL-NLSIU will give the key note address. Around 2500
participants including SDMC Forum members, Midday Meals Workers,
Teachers, Anganawadi workers, Gram Panchayat Elected Representatives,
Community Based Organisations members, activists and community at large
will participate in the convention
I cordially and kindly request you to attend the convention and join
hands with us to strengthen public education in the state. I also
request you to share this with others and give wide coverage so that
people can come and attend the convention in large numbers.
