We welcome updates to the list of major capital investment project
announcements we maintain at
http://www.gdi-solutions.com/areas/projects/projects_us_southeast.htm

The focus is on projects such as new, expanded, or relocated factories,
distribution centers, or office operations (headquarters, "back office"
or financial and administrative shared services, call centers or
customer contact centers, R&D centers, data centers, etc.) which are
expected to involve >50 new jobs within a 3 year project plan.

Similar lists are maintained for other regions of the world, and by
general industry categories, for the convenience of executives and
advisors who may want to know about recent projects by other companies
when considering their own direct investment plans through a business
location search and selection process.

We also welcome feedback about the professional service providers who
supported such projects, such as corporate real estate firms,
architects, engineers, project finance specialists, tax advisors,
construction firms, project managers, relocation services. We also
maintain directories of such service providers on a global and regional
basis, such as the list of location and incentives consultants at

http://www.gdi-solutions.com/profsvcs/lists/location_consultants.htm

This helps us to identify relevant service providers for referral
purposes as we support future project plans.

Note that our Southeast region directory includes South Carolina,
Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Note that North
Carolina has been grouped with the Mid-Atlantic region, and Kentucky
with the Great Lakes region (because of competition and business
linkages with southern Ohio and Indiana). Louisiana is grouped with
the South Central region.

Our selective directory of economic development organizations in the
Southeast US region can be found at
http://www.gdi-solutions.com/areas/lists/areas_southeast_region.htm

Local investment promotion agency websites typically provide
information about projects within their own areas, and the target
industries they are seeking.

The Mississippi Development Authority maintains at
http://www.mississippi.org/doing_busn/site_selectors/nef_report.htm a
searchable directory of new and expanded facilities announced over a
period of many years.
