General QuestionsWhy do you recommend this internship or not?
l Yes, I definitely recommend this internship. It was really worthed, the children were amazing and very keen to participate in the classes. I really think we made an impact on that community.
l I worked closely together with 11 other EPs, Chinese AIESECers and local Chinese people from the school, which was a very nice experience and enabled me to have a lot of fun while working as I was together with other people my age. In addition to that, I feel that my presence and teaching at the school really had a positive impact on the children, which is a very rewarding feeling!
l Take care of ur trainees, really, u didn't care about us, it's not right!!!
How do you think we can improve our project quality and trainee experience management?
l I want to have more time with the native minorities.
l make a good plan and prepare schools well so there will no school that refuses the project at last minute.
l i think u should make ur project more interesting and active!!! And make parties, city tours, interesting meetings
l i think we need more job related to helping people who need help.
l In my opinion, the weakest point was the Host LC. They didn't integrate us in their activities, didn't ask us for meeting them, and even when I send them emails and sms, most of the times they didn't reply or will only do it one week or so after. I felt "abandoned" by the host aiesec during the internship. During my internship My hosting LC was doing recruitment of new members. I think it was a really nice opportunity for them to ask us to talk about our internship experience, how it had changed us to motivate new members/applicants. Unfortunately, the opportunity was lost. I also think we could have done more community work.. They even booked something, but 2 days after the Hosting LC cancelled it.
l - Accommodation - It would be better if trainee could stay at teachers dorm as it was too noisy early morning at students dorm. Hot water is also important. - Internet connection would be useful and helpful if trainee could use in their own dorm. - It would be better if trainee could work with other AIESECers in order to have some culture exchange, experience, and so on. - It would be better if Hosting LC train the trainee first before they get involved with the project. - It would be better if Hosting LC seriously prepare all the teaching materials related to the main project for trainee and also train them to be ready for the whole teaching process.
Could you share your internship experience to us in 200 words?
l The hospitality of Chinese has affected me so much. I had a great time meeting all the things and people in China. I learnt a lot of things from the exchange.
l it will be a forever memory to work in an international team, overcoming challenges and crisis together and that really rocks! The local people and the staff of the project were so nice to take us for travel after the project ended and I had soooooo much fun during the trip and get to know more about the real China---rural city and big city at the same time. AIESEC SYSU you really did great job!
l Before I come to China , I have no any idea about China .But after my internship, I start to know culture of China .During my internship ,XMU hold a lot of activities for me ,I have different experience .
l every aiesecer is enthusiastic and the Lc runs well. i really appreciate it
l My internship was great adventure. I hope I would have any other passibilities to come back here again. Unfortunately contact with Aiesec wasn't perfect and it take 2 days before I go to my accommodation in Hostel. Boss of My Way Hostel is great person and I wish everybody to have so good boss as I had ;) .
