Position: Java/Big Data Engineer(Certified apache apark developer)
Location: Remote
Required Skills
Java and Big Data (Scala and spark/PySpark/Hadoop/EMR/etc)
- This person will be responsible for both real-time and batch processing.
- For real time data processing, they must have expertise in building APIs with Java or Scala. This part of the job is more so like a Java Developer.
- The batch processing responsibilities is more traditional data pipeline work, so expertise in PySpark, Hadoop, EMR, etc.
Job Description:
- Strong API services on AWS stack using Cloud using java/Scala/kotlin, Kafka, Cassandra, Scylla, DDB
- Strong AWS PySpark, EMR/EC2/ECS/ Airflow/Step Functions,
- Strong AWS Application performance tuning (Spark/Hadoop/EMR/python)
- Must have Linux experience (Shell scripting)
- Must have DevOps experience.
- Must have experience designing and developing applications at scale.
- Must show ownership and bias for action.
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines †“Jenkins, Artifactory, AWSCodeCommit, CloudFormation
