Role Overview:
SMBC is seeking a skilled QA Manual Tester to join its Capital Markets
QA team. This role is focused on testing Fixed Income Sales & Trading
platforms, validating trade lifecycle events, pricing, and risk
functionalities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing
front-office systems in a fast-paced capital markets environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze business/functional requirements for Fixed Income workflows
- Design and execute detailed manual test cases for Sales & Trading platforms
- Validate pricing, P&L, and risk calculations
- Conduct full trade lifecycle and regression testing
- Log, manage, and retest defects using tools like JIRA
- Collaborate with developers, QA automation teams, and stakeholders across regions
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and help improve QA processes
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of QA testing experience in capital markets or investment banking
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products and trade lifecycle
- Background in testing Sales & Trading systems or risk platforms
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test case management tools
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Preferred:
- Agile/Scrum project experience
- Exposure to real-time front-office trading systems
