Role: Java Developer with Hadoop
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6-12 Months
Skills: Java, REST, AWS, Kafka, Hadoop and Spark
• Leading the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
• Acting as the technical subject matter expert: Mentoring fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problems
• Roughly 80% hands-on coding
• Generate technical documentation and presenting to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teams and business users
• Resolve defects/bugs during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
• Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams including product management, various product lines, and/or business units to drive forward results
• Demonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant, systems
• Experience with Agile Development, Scrum methodologies
• Design and develop data and real-time analytics solutions using industry-standard technologies.
• Develop web services that make data available in real-time for in-product applications.
• Work with data architects to ensure that Big Data solution are aligned with company-wide technology directions.
