Role: Senior ServiceNow specialist
Duration: Long term contract
Location: Washington, DC (On-site from day one) 

Job Description:

The Computer Specialist (Senior) is to provide support in Implementation and Administration of ServiceNow modules.

Tasks & Deliverables:

Work with subject matter experts to confirm requirements, document technical specifications, develop and configure ServiceNow and any supporting scripting, execute unit tests, resolve defects found in system integration testing and deploy approved packages to production.
Knowledge on all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as Analysis, Planning, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation and Post-production analysis of the projects.
Experience in the Workflow development in ServiceNow.
Experience working closely with software development team to define testing methodology and processes.
Experience estimating and obtaining management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
Experience defining, communicating, and implementing QA best practices.
Expert in the use of Rational products - Jazz (RTC, RQM and RRC) for supporting QA activities and deliverables.
Experience using different testing tools (manual and automation).
Develop test criteria, test plans and conduct application testing with expert level experience in designing, implementing and documenting test plans and test cases.
Identify, research, report and close defects and analyze unresolved issues.
Review the work of team members during project planning and execution phases ensuring deliverables are accurately created, and processes and procedures are adhered to.
Identify and support activities for acquiring the software requirements needed for establishing the prototype of a requirement.
Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for application deployments per standards defined by the organization.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline. A Master’s degree preferred.

General Experience:

Team management experience.
Combination of technical and business expertise deploying large ERP software implementations for a transit industry.
Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies and tools.
Advanced knowledge of testing techniques.
Experience in development, deployment and enforcement of quality assurance procedures and standards in software testing.
Experience in all phases of Application Life cycle including systems analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and maintenance.
Ability to scope, plan and schedule activities related to software quality assurance, testing and configuration management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written that display analytical capabilities.

Specialized Experience:

Knowledge of the following solution verticals in ServiceNow:

ITSM (Request, Asset: required; other modules desirable)
IT Asset Management
IT Business Management
Enterprise Application (develop Customer Applications)
DevOps knowledge desired
Agile and SAFe.
