Role: Cloud Infrastructure Consultant with firmware and software components exp.
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 6Months Contract
New Platform Firmware & Software(FW/SW) Validation of FW/SW Components for Client PowerEdge Servers (AMD/Intel based) Firmware & Software Components
In-band & Out of Band System Management
Storage (SAS Based RAID & HBA Controllers, Software RAID, BOSS Controllers)
Network Controllers (multiple offerings e.g. Qlogic, Mellanox, Intel etc.)
Feature/Functionality & Platform Integration test cases as per plan Storage controller’s (Broadcom), drivers & firmware DAS, NAS and SAN domain experience SCSI, SATA, SAS, NFS, CIFS and FC protocol testing experience proficiency with server systems, scripting (Linux and Windows OS, Hypervisors, scripting, python, c/c++)
Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer or related subjects.
Hands-on experience and strong expertise in server hardware ecosystem at the node, rack and datacenter level.
Proficient in server software ecosystem ie: OS/Hypervisors, debug tools, Compilers, Libraries Good in validation tools, scripting languages, and Automation.
Experience in development tools and validation workloads
Good understanding of platform development process from concept to production.
Knowledgeable in platform firmware features (BIOS, BMC, SMU).
Proven experience in server platform architecture and/or platform development experience
