Job Roles / Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing, developing and setting up optimal AWS Cloud and VMware Cloud Solutions. Required skills include:
- Deployment – virtualization stacks VMware/Hyper-V/OpenStack, Physical, Clusters, Containers, network, end to end solutions. Terraform, Ansible, CLI
- Security – APSTNDP Network Stack Layers – Least Surface exposed.
- AWS SDK – BOTO3 – AWS Software Developer’s Kit – API/CLI in order to deploy code and infrastructure. Maintenance of custom deployment stack and code.
- Database – Oracle, MongoDB, AWS services
- Debugging – Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch, OpenSearch, deployment code python/docker/node.js/angular/bash.
- Requires deep understanding of core AWS services, uses and AWS architecture best practices
- System application solution migration. Application/Infrastructure anywhere on demand. IAAC
- Optimization AWS resources. Policy, clean-up, cost-analysis basis.
- Management of costs, budgets and cost saving targets.
- Software Design discipline within a software defined infrastructure.
• Understand the current application (IRIS, NAMI, CARTI, ETL, ArcGIS, FCC DODC) infrastructure and provide feedback to its design.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Migrate infrastructure to internal or external AWS resources as highly available, cost effective, scalable solutions meeting solution and design requirements.
• Implement CI/CD pipeline utilizing Jenkins and self-managed Jenkins to support Windows and MAC builds.
• Create infrastructure deployment scripts as IAAC in python, terraform and ansible
• Assist developers in creating new environments with deployment infrastructure support.
• Linux, Unix, Windows, Docker
• Python, YAML configurations, bash scripting
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed large-scale systems
• Superior information sharing ability must be present in all forms of communication. Clarity of artistic drawings with ability to show meaning and intent.
• Must be self-sustaining and initiating solutions in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver routinely.
• Team player – Is the team better contributing as resource or generally consuming resources?
• Support Engineers in development solutions. Troubleshoot.
• High level producers generally initiate new objectives at any time based upon observations indicating need.
