Detailed Job Description :
We are looking for data scientists with following responsibilities and key skills.
1. Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
2. Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
3. Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
4. Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
5. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
6. Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Technical Skills: -
1. Python or R
2. Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig
3. Proficiency in applying machine learning algorithms in a big data and streaming set up (Spark Streaming and Spark ML).
4. Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
5. Good scripting and programming skills.
6. Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NThe common question that gets asked in business is, 'why?' That's a good question, but an equally valid question is, 'why not?'
