Must-have skills:

EDU : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.

• 7+ y of direct exp in the development, design, engineering, and construction of

high voltage transmission line AND substation projects (means utility scale).

PREFERRED :

• Project Engineering and/or Project Management exp;

• PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline;

• PLSCADD, Auto‐CAD, Primavera and other software.

Requirements:
• Availability to work on Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
• Experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of high voltage transmission line and substation projects (7+ years)
• Experience with Early-Stage design;
• Experience in project management;
• Experience with standard industry tools such as PLS-CADD, Auto‐CAD, Primavera, and other software (preferred);
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action (preferred);
• PMP and/or P.E. in a related discipline (preferred);
• Valid Driver’s license;
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering

Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for transmission line and HV substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through turnover to the execution team; typically, at a 30‐60% design completion level;
• Work with the Early-Stage Project Manager to define and influence the project requirements and scope with the Energy Transmission Development Group;
• Secure engineering consulting resources when required from a list of approved suppliers by developing a scope of work, securing bids, evaluating, and awarding work through Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Group;
• Conduct design reviews/optimize designs, develop design requirements documents, define RFP deliverables, and manage all work to the prescribed deadlines;
• Coordinate with other project stakeholders to identify and develop a transmission line route, and suitable substation site, support the engineering data, and permits necessary to design and develop the project, including geotechnical and lidar data;
• Coordinate the engineering deliverables in support of NEET’s FERC Order 1000 competitive request for proposals (RFP);
• Coordinates with project execution team members to validate the technical solution and incorporate construction input; seeks input from execution team SMEs as the conceptual design is developed;
• Prepare engineering turnover documentation and holds meeting to transfer project materials and knowledge to the execution team; continue to support the execution team during the transition period
