On W2 Contract: Need Mainframe Administrator - Remote

Role: Mainframe Administrator
Location: Dearborn, MI
· 5+ years of experience in providing Mainframe Administration in an enterprise environment.
· At least 5+ years working knowledge of internal working knowledge of z/OS and systems such as DB2, CICS, MQ, and CFs.
· Validating the correct performance of features supporting the Data Centers Parallel Sysplex.
· Verifying the correct operation of the z/OS operating system and subsystems.
· Estimating and recommending the resource needs to support planned software/hardware upgrades.
· Analyzing I/O configuration and subsystems considering the performance the implication of the interactions of the component
· Functional knowledge, use of z/OS components, and detailed knowledge of support products such as tape management, scheduling, security, monitoring systems, etc.
· Monitoring and tuning of systems software.
· Analyzing the Sysplex configuration for proper performance by studying appropriate RMF reports.
· Backup and recovery processes and tools
· Operating Systems Knowledge (Mainframe Skills) - z/OS, TSO/ISPF, ISMF, JCL, Catalogs, Utilities
· In-depth knowledge of various system and sub-system products: used to evaluate and implement Application security (i.e.: z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQSeries, Omegamon, JES2, CA7/CA 11, etc
· z/OS System and Sub-System knowledge (i.e.: JCL, SDSF, JES2/3, FTP – Must be able to create/update/run Jobs in support of security changes and monitoring
· Extensive technical knowledge in JCL, JES, CICS, TSO, VTAM, SDSF & ISPF. Working knowledge of CA-View/CA-Deliver/WebViewer/DRAS/EAS Familiarity with RACF security products with the ability to design optimal security solutions for subsystems and applications. Knowledge in VMS, CA7, ERO tables, SAS/REXX
