Job Description:
Support and maintain Linux-based mission-critical services with a focus on
operational health, API availability, low latency, reliability, and automation.
Work closely with development teams to improve scalability, incident response,
monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Experience:
· 9+ years of relevant experience.
· BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
· Strong experience with Linux operating systems and Linux system administration.
· Experience supporting mission-critical Tier 1 services in operational environments with pager duty.
· Software development experience focused on services and operational tools.

· Operating Systems: Linux, Unix
· System Administration: Linux System Administration, Linux/Unix Commands
· Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, JavaScript
· DevOps: CI/CD
· Monitoring & Observability: Service Metrics, Alarms, Dashboards, Service KPIs, Alarming Systems
· Reliability & Operations: Incident Response, Root Cause Analysis, Operational Toil Reduction, Runbooks
· Service Engineering: API Availability, Low Latency, Scalability, Reliability, Operational Tooling
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain operational health of core compute services for API availability and low latency.
· Manage and triage tickets based on business and technical impact.
· Scale systems through easy-to-use tooling and automation.
· Partner with developers to improve scalability, reliability, and development velocity.
· Develop runbooks to reduce incident mean triage time.
· Prioritize and automate high-hit-count runbooks.
· Practice sustainable incident response and drive root cause analysis.
· Reduce operational toil through automation and process improvement.
