Detailed Job Description:
- Lead Consultant for Kafka and Zookeeper administration with exposure to MySQL, Couchbase, Casandra.
- Experience as Kafka Zookeeper Database administrator
- Experienced in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center Create topics and setup redundancy cluster
- Perform Kafka platform administration including alert handling, provisioning, cluster administration, cluster resizing, SSL configurations, upgrades, backup and recovery
• 8 to 10 years of experience as Kafka / Zookeeper Database administrator
• Experienced in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center
• Perform Kafka platform administration including alert handling, provisioning, cluster administration, cluster resizing, SSL configurations, upgrades, backup and recovery
• Very good understanding of event processing pipelines using Kafka, Zookeeper
• Support Kafka streaming platforms with system to system messaging, upstream and downstream messaging
• Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Experienced in new clusters builds, configurations and audits
• Planning and implementation of data migration from staging to production cluster
• Design, implement, and monitor disaster recovery plans as it pertains to the production database environment
• Preferred to have Knowledge on Couchbase, Casandra and MySQL
• Prepare SOPs, Documentation, and specifications
• Experience in Scripting skills required for performing and automating DB activities
• Must be aware of the concepts of clustering, fault tolerance, high availability, disaster recovery
• Follow and adhere to the ITSM processes
• Should be willing to work on 24X7 operation model and provide on-call support on Weekends and off-hours in case of business need

Minimum years of experience*: 8+
Certifications Needed: No
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
