Role : SAS Developer
Location : Willmington, DE
Visa : NO H1 Transfers
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in
IT/MIS with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Information
Technology.
- Must have at least 3
years of in-depth experience with SAS.
- Intermediate
understanding of client/server infrastructure.
- Experience in the
handling of multiple file types, such as EBCIDIC and ASCII.
- Produce technical
specifications and test plans/test scripts.
- Be able to effectively
and professionally communicate with the Finance Actuarial Department to
identify and obtain requirements for financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge on the
subject of extract, transformation and load techniques.
- Experience in
development of project documentation, testing materials and execution,
training materials, requirements gathering including downstream and
upstream interface requirements.
- Must be proficient with
the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and possess the capability of
producing professional-looking documentation and flowcharts.
- Strong analytical
background is required.
- Knowledge of the
Software Development Life Cycle is expected.
- Nice to have, but not
necessary:
- A basic, functional
understanding of the Mainframe Environment and the ability to work within
it with minimal learning curve; inclusive but not limited to JCL, TSO and
FTP technologies.
- Knowledge of basic
actuarial valuation standards and processes

- Must be capable of
modifying or enhancing applications in accordance with business
requirements.
- Document all
modifications, enhancements and analysis.
- Prepare definition of
functional problems and make recommendations for enhancements or
modifications to deliver solutions.
