Role : Azure DevOps

Location : Redmond, WA ( Onsite / Hybrid )

Rate : $45-48/HR on c2c MAX 

Visa :  NO H1 Transfers

Job Roles / Responsibilities:       

Deployment responsibilities (daily):

• Maintain a schedule of planned service deployments.
• Gather information about builds and payloads (i.e., change list as a delta from previously deployed builds);
• Manage continuous integration pipelines in Azure DevOps, initiate builds (as needed);
• Communicate this information via Teams channel, in collaboration with On Call Engineers to determine course of action.
• Deploy builds in test environments (as needed);
• Keep track of test results (manual and automated), dispatch issues as appropriate.
• Track bugs are required to be fixed in the next iteration.
• Upon positive validation, communicate, initiate, and manage production deployments through the various rings (i.e., canari, ring1, pre-production, production, …).
• Monitor and manage auto-scale settings (as needed).

 

Monitoring responsibilities (daily):

• Monitor dashboards for any unusual patterns.
• Gather information needed to debug active issues (event logs, memory dumps, trace queries,);
• Engage active incidents, communicate, dispatch issues to OCEs or feature crews as appropriate.
• Engage on active outages, communicate, dispatch issues to OCEs.

 

Weekly responsibilities:

• Gather information for the weekly service reviews, Service Level Objectives and Key Performance Indicators, traffic patterns, correlate to bugs and incidents.
• Prepare and update the weekly service review meeting notes.
• Monitor, fix and/or dispatch automated KPIs (Service 360).
• Maintain list of follow ups identified in the WSR; dispatch to the appropriate engineer(s).

 

Responsibilities for ongoing changes:

• Manage services via portal.azure.com.
• Keep operational Troubleshooting Guides (Wiki) up to date.
• Keep operational dashboards (Jarvis, Power BI) and queries (Geneva, Kusto) up to date.
• Implement necessary changes to the build and test pipelines.

• The actual work items will be triaged on a weekly basis with Microsoft Product Owner and necessary stories will be finalized/updated. All Work shall be treated as Microsoft Confidential Information unless otherwise designated by Microsoft
