Job Description :
· As the Analytics platform administrator, you will have the opportunity to embrace the latest Data and Analytics technology, and bring your strong Hadoop, Linux, and Analytics systems skill to the fore in our hybrid cloud environment.
1. This role will be responsible for Advanced Analytics Technology platform support on our hybrid cloud Hadoop based analytics environment – executing daily administration tasks, including system provisioning, performance monitoring, access management and version upgrades on a variety of big data technologies
2. This role will be deploying new analytics tools and technologies to improve the performance, functionality and cost of analytics solutions – this includes supporting new technology evaluations, as well as 1st time deployments. (Eg. DataRobot, Spark Beyond, Kubernetes Containers, Data replication)
3. This role provides technical support for Advanced Analytics data engineers – supporting data ingestion and transformation technologies, and implement performance tuning strategies
4. This role provides technical support for Advanced Analytics Data Scientists – supporting analytics and machine learning tools like R, Python, Jupyter, Knime and their integration with data sources and other systems
Requirements:
BA/BS required; preferably in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science
3+ years of experience in supporting any of these platforms as a systems or tools administrator - Linux, Hadoop, Azure, Analytics
Working knowledge of at least 1 of the following Data Science toolsets –Spark, R, Shiny, Python, Knime
Experience in data wrangling, advanced analytic modeling, and AI/ML capabilities is a big plus
Solid communication and organizational skills and experience working with diverse teams
Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud system deployment will be a plus
