Hi there,

Anybody who succeded to install Lombok with RAD.
In any case, it didn't seem to work for me.
When I install Lombok with RAD 9.7.0.2, which is based on Eclipse 4.7.3.v2018 it no longer possible to start my RAD.
I receive  the message that a error is occurred.

I have seen it working on other machine, and with exact the same RAD version.

The error message is 'org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Error starting module'  Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException

Could anyone please tell me what I am missing.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Can you see more details of the exception in the error log on the file system?

Would be great to find out which bundle has the issue.

Try this:

-Dosgi.debug must be added to the config.ini in RAD install dir.

Tracing option in the .options file should be

org.eclipse.osgi/debug/bundleLoad=true

Note that it’s been a while since I did this myself and I can’t try it right now. Only have my phone at hand 🙂

Hi @Rabea Gransberger

Added following to eclipse.ini file:
-Dosgi.debug=D:\tracing\.log

Added following to the trace file:
org.eclipse.osgi/debug/bundleLoad=true

Nothing logged out to the trace file, I did also add '-Dosgi.debug=D:\tracing\.log ' as you described to the config.ini

Is the issue reproducible on another machine? And does it happen every time you fully delete and install RAD on your machine?

@Mat Jaggard it is not reproducible on other machines, it works.
As soon I remove the reference to lombork.jar from eclipse.ini file  my RAD start.
I hope you can help.

Hi
Anybody have a suggestion to solve the issue.  IBM do not support issues related to
Lombork.

Have you tried deleting all and starting again. I'm afraid the community is unlikely to be able to help if you can't reproduce the issue.

Ok finally solved my issue.
I changed  heap size  to 6 GB in eclipse.ini .
-Xms6000m
-Xmx6000m

Earlier it was following.
-Xms512m
-Xmx1536m
