Hi, I've tried searching for any similar problem to no avail. Lombok will not install for Java Enterprise Eclipse (Latest).

There are 2 issues (one solved already):
  1. Lombok cannot find my installation (Solved by completely deleting and reinstalling eclipse)
  2. Lombok refuse to install, instead giving me this error message:

Background Information:
  • New installation of windows 10 pro (less than 1 month old)
  • Using Bitlocker Encryption (not sure if relevant but thought It cant hurt)

Is lombok.jar located in a 'weird' place, such as: you're starting it from inside a zip file, or it is in some sort of fancypants windows 'container' for web downloads?

your targeted eclipse doesn't matter for this one; nor does bitlocker encryption.

Can you download the edge release from https://projectlombok.org/download-edge and run this installer in precisely the same fashion? It should provide more information in the error dialog.

I'm having the same issue on MacOSX Sierra (10.12.6).

I installed Eclipse 2019-09 and then attempted to install Lombok, but it never recognized my new installation (and I've reinstalled Eclipse twice).  When I select the path to the "eclipse" executable, I get the message:

"I can't find any IDE that lombok supports at location:  /Users/myname/Eclipse/Eclipse.app/Contents/MacOS/eclipse"

Is Eclipse 2019-09 supported by Lombok?

I have that Eclipse version and I had no issues installing Lombok (v1.18.10) in Windows 10, so it might be a MacOS issue.
Good luck,
D.

It's no doubt apple looking at those old-timey 'I'm a mac, I'm a PC' ads, and all of a sudden being jealous of the PC side, with utter dogpoop directory access management. Man, apple fell off a cliff (I'm still using macbooks, I'm a _little_ bitter :P).

Everybody with this problem on catalina, perhaps? Whether your app even runs into the 'you cant read files there' issue is unknown and there is as usual these days with Apple absolutely no documentation whatsoever. That makes fixing it frustrating.
