Dear all,
I am happy to share you all that I have submitted my thesis last week. It gives immense joy and deep sense of satisfaction at the moment , when I look back my tenure as a research student in DCB! Way back in 2012 January(01-01-2012), I have joined with a spark that got ignited through a faculty development programme at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Cochin. I thank Achu sir, Sreenathan sir and Mahalekshmi mam for helping me to know about the scope of Bioinformatics!
The admission as research student itself is so special to me! Since 2007, I was struggling so hard to get an entry for my research in a lab. I have knocked many doors and tried many ways but of vain! The first positive call happened to be from DCB! From the bottom of my heart I thank Achu sir-my mentor and the best of all teachers whom I have ever worked with, for giving me sufficient time, space and confidence to attain my passion in research.
I do had the vows and pain as that of every research student, waited for nearly 8 months to get my registration order. My doctoral committee happened @ October 2011 and I have received the registration order only on June 2012. Thank god Here I am on yet another June (approximately 4 years) ready with my thesis for evaluation, which I soooooooooooooo longed to happen! On June 14th I have submitted my thesis :-)) I am happy to share you that DCB helped me a lot to get a modest number of publication to my credit! (attached here with the list)
I thank Dr KPP pillai sir for his august presence during the doctoral committee. Probably me and sheeba chechi were the last set of students with the old docotral committee members (before reconstituting in 2012)! We are indeed happy that we could follow the old legacy !
Indeed a lot of people helped me and supported to come up to this stage, through a mail ts hard to express m gratitude, i am attaching the acknowledgement note here with! Thanks a lot for all the helping hands :-))
