A Cypress v2.3.1 point release for Virtual Machine (VM) and Amazon Machine Image (AMI) users has been released.  This point release was needed to address the planned early integration of the "HTML Scoop and Filter" feature for Cypress v2.3.0 last Thursday, July 11th.

With Cypress v2.3.0, the HTML view of the synthetic patient data included data only for the clinical quality measures that are being tested and certified. No extraneous clinical data is present in the Cypress HTML view.  An issue was identified with the Cypress v2.3.0 release which included this feature in the software source code available from GitHub, but not in the Cypress Virtual Machine (VM) and Amazon Machine Image (AMI).

This v2.3.1 point release includes this feature in all distribution mechanisms for setting up Cypress (source code, VM, AMI).  The Installation guide and upgrade instructions have been updated to address the v2.3.1 point release:

EHR systems tested with either Cypress v2.3.0 or Cypress v2.3.1 should not have differing results with any of the Meaningful Use Stage 2 Clinical Quality Measure tests.  This "HTML Scoop and Filter" feature has been designed entirely for convenience; to lessen the data entry burden on EHR systems to only clinical artifacts relevant to the CQM being tested.

Additional information about the this new release and the specific defects addressed are documented on the release notes page at http://projectcypress.org/release.html#2.3.1
