Our first guest Robert Jensen is a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin and board member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Center in Austin. He is the author of "All My Bones Shake", "The Heart of Whiteness", "Citizens of the Empire" and more. We will also play part of the latest talk by Dr. Gabor Maté the staff physician at the Portland Hotel Society, which runs a residence/harm reduction facility and North America’s only supervised safe-injection site in Vancouver, Canada, home to one of the world’s densest areas of drug users. The bestselling author of four books, his latest one is "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters with Addiction." The title of his talk is "Addiction & Society, How Capitalism makes us crazy and drives us to addiciton."
