Welcome to another edition of Progressive News Digest, still rolling along in
its fourth year (just over the halfway-mark of Year 4, BTW, and with rare
exception this has appeared every week at some point).
Your editor is still working several jobs to catch up with things, as well as
recovering from the tail end of this flu crud that has been going about (never
went down for the count, but was back on my heels for the last 3 weeks).
Fortunately for me, I have a remarkable and loving healer for a girfriend, and
she gathered me up Friday and took me back to her place for a very restful
and soothing weekend. As a result I am just about ready to attack tomorrow
with full weaponry at my disposal. But not tonight, since I promised I would
not undo all her good works with a short-sleep sabotage ...
So again, this issue (and subsequent ones until further notice) will be in
