new website design

 I'm working with a student on the design of the new plp website. I've attached some initial sketches of the home page and the two main landing pages. There's also a design that we are working on for each class, something like a model for how a computer architecture class would be organized, or how a microprocessors class would be organized. This is independent of the existing classes which we have through google code sites. The bar on the top would take a developer directly to the google code site for plp developers. That's why we got rid of the third landing page from James' original design.

Please post your comments and feedback on this design. There will be more opportunities for commenting and contributing once we actually start coding this. I believe that we are currently going for an html5 design.
