Dear Professors at Play,
I’m excited to share that the North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) 2025 Conference is now accepting proposals—and I think many of you will find it a fantastic opportunity to share your work and connect with like-minded educators.
🗓️ Conference Dates: October 15–18, 2025
📍 Location: Miami University, Oxford, Ohio
🎯 Theme: paahpioni iiši-neepwaantiinki – A Path to Playful Learning
This year’s theme celebrates playful learning in all its forms. NASAGA is looking for interactive sessions that explore:
Game-based learning in education or corporate settings
Playtesting new designs (tabletop, digital, LARP, hybrid)
Cultural storytelling, simulation, or roleplay
Hands-on workshops where attendees build, design, or test something
🧩 Session Formats:
90-minute concurrent sessions (teach, play, reflect, repeat)
2-hour afternoon workshops (go deeper, build bigger)
5–15 minute poster-style demos (short, punchy, hands-on)
💡 What Makes a Great Proposal?
Connect clearly to the theme
Make it interactive (not just a lecture)
Share something attendees can try, adapt, or take away
📅 Deadline: Proposals are due by September 2, 2025.
If you've been developing a new game, running innovative simulations in your classroom, exploring cultural storytelling through play, or want to test new designs with peers—this is your chance to share your passion with a welcoming, creative community.
You can learn more and submit your proposal here: https://www.nasaga.org/agenda-1
I hope many of you will consider submitting, attending, or helping spread the word.
Best regards,
Natasha
