Administrative Assistant to Services Team of National Institute for Play
The National Institute for Play (NIFPlay) is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 1994 to foster research in play and to promote the benefits of human play for society. NIFPlay is currently a very small group developing an online presence addressing academic, professional and mainstream audiences in the play space.
We need a detail oriented person who is very competent with personal computers and internet services. The opportunity is 8-12 hours per week immediately (contract position, remote work, flexible schedule) assisting with the various work involved in developing and growing the services and capabilities listed in the Tasks section below. The person selected will have a life situation to be available for more hours worked over time; we anticipate that work time could increase up to 20 hours per week and eventually to full time if desired.

Tasks:
● Create webpages and newsletters (email) based on content provided by others
● Send email blasts (Mailchimp) notifying users about latest website materials
● Respond to inquiries resulting from blasts as well as from organic traffic; correspond with individual users re specific questions or information they request.
● Develop and maintain database of our visitors (Remove stale records, proactively add new records, tag/categorize records)
● Website (Wordpress)
o Modify existing and create new pages as needed e.g., landing pages for mailings and promotions (rough content from Executive Director)
o Support creation and access to usage reports e.g., #s of visits, visitors, opt-ins,
o Add content to Library of Play based on references from Principals
o Master and be primary steward of site analytics data
● Support Launch team in developing an approach to social media appropriate to our needs and capabilities
● Support Executive and Services Directors in planning, promoting and running online webinars (e.g., Dr. Stuart Brown dialoguing with other play experts)
