Carrie Lobman will be leading, The Imperative of Play: Beyond Existing Maps this Saturday, June 20 from 11:30 - 2:00 pm Eastern Via Zoom. We hope you can attend!
Many of us have helped establish that play is good for us. The question Carrie is exploring is what role does play have in this historic moment–when people and communities are facing uncertainty, conflict, polarization, and the pressure to fall back on familiar ways of responding?
For Carrie, play is not a break from reality, but a way of engaging it—a collective human activity through which we can risk, experiment, and create with others before we know what to do. I will invite participants into a series of "small performances of creating" that explore play as a practice for building what does not yet exist.
Please join me. And if the workshop resonates with you, please share it widely with anyone you think might be interested.
