Hello Playful Professors!

I wanted to pass along a potential opportunity or idea sent to me by CodeGym Edu. See below! If you are interested, submit an application in the link at the end of the email!

CodeGym gamified Java programming course is thrilled to announce its CodeGym for EDU initiative, which offers a 6-month trial access to the platform for Computer Science teachers (High School/ College/University) and their students for free.

What it offers:
- both ordinary Java learning track and AP CSA curriculum;
- 1200 practical assignments with automatic web-based validation;

- Games coding section ( 2048, Space Invaders; Racer, etc.)

- Intellij IDEA introduction and plugin for practicing course tasks;

- mini-projects like Hippodrome, Snake, Arkanoid, Model-View-Controller (MVC), Chat, etc;

- mobile “CodeGym: learn Java” application for Android OS

What makes it gamified:
- local “Dark Matter” currency that allows unlocking new lessons and solving new tasks;
- achievements variety for completing coding missions;
- storytelling plot with different characters;
- award medals that rises student’s rating among others

What goals it helps to complete:

- prepare your students for AP CS A exam;
- prepare for variety of Coding Contests and Championships;
- prepare for Oracle Java foundations 811 exam;
- expanding your students’ knowledge while practicing within IT clubs, Robotics electives, etc.
- helps to receive a solid theoretical and practical base of skills to apply for junior positions in the programming industry.

If that sounds interesting and you would like to give it a try and explore in more details, feel free to leave your application here:
