This week I've been attending the (virtual) annual conference of the Children's Literature Association, the theme of which this year is "The Arcade," so there have been lots of panels about games in children's literature. Not so much about play in the classroom, BUT I got a link to a call for papers that might interest people in this group if they've developed games for their classes and are interested in publishing them:
