Hello all:

We hope your semesters have come to a satisfying end, your quarters are
sailing in the direction and your terms and modules have treated you well
as we transition into summer.

As for us, we've been working hard getting the Playposium ready to go. And
there is still time to join us.

*SIGN UP FOR THE PLAYPOSIUM*

If you still want to join us, we'd love to have you up in the mountains in
Colorado, June 23-26. The details are here: https://www.playposium.com/

And if you can't be there, don't worry! We will be working hard to capture
as much of the magic and content as possible. Right now we are planning
some sort of publication produced by the attendees and will share as much
as we can, after the event, thought our socials and on YouTube.

*PROFESSOR AT PLAY SOCIAL MEDIA*

*PLAYPOSIUM PLAY LEADERS*

Back to the Playposium, we have announced a group of folks we call our
"Play Leaders". Unlike a regular conference, a Playposium is a
semi-structured experience meant to provide time, space and resources to
help attendees explore their playful side through the lens of their role as
educators. To that end, we don't have facilitators versus attendees, and
many of our attendees are going to be leading a variety of content
sessions! Instead, our Play Leaders are attendees who have been asked to
help us frame out some of the key activities and moments we want to provide
during the event. Here's the current list of these fine folks:

https://www.innoplay.co.uk/
Dr Maarten Koeners and Adam Lusby of Innoplay, a project out of the
University of Exeter that combines playful pedagogy with design thinking,
mindfulness, project-based learning and more!

https://www.primalplay.com/
Daryll Edwards' work through Primal Play helps people rediscover the joys
of movement. You don't have be an athlete to enjoys Daryll's take on
embodied play.

https://www.playfulcampus.com/
Dawn Daria and Paul Miller rebranded their Flopball work as the Playful
Campus. And we are delighted they will be on hand to provide an energetic
approach to learning (and embracing failure along the way).

Finally, Stuart Brown might be the greatest living play scientist. He is
certainly the Playposium's guiding play spirit.

And of course, Lisa and I will be there to sing the praises of playful
pedagogy and the inherently magical transformation possible through playful
rebellion.

*WHAT'S NEXT*

As we move into the summer and start thinking about what's next for
Professors at Play, we'd love to hear from you! Get in touch through social
or send us an email: he...@professorsatplay.org. What could we do to help
you be more playful in life and in your teaching? What do you need to
transform your approaches and escape the golden cage of expectation and
higher education tradition? What would you like to see P@P work on in the
coming year? Get in touch!

For now, get out and have some fun, change your mind, try something new and
play with all those problems that seem impossible to solve. Play is the
ultimate solvent.

Hi!

Since the round table is closed due to max attendees, is it possible to sign up for a recording? (If it is being recorded that is.)

Thank you,

Jamie
