Hey Thomas,

One of the greatest qualities sought for in a person is the ability to be a team player. A person who is very skilled but is not a team player will find it difficult to rise up the career ladder.

But, what are the characteristics of a team player? Are there any specific characteristics required to be a great team player?

Today’s video nugget is by Patrick Lencioni, a New York Times best-selling author who has authored some of the most sought after books including “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable”, “The Ideal Team Player: How to Recognize and Cultivate the Three Essential Virtues”, “The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive: A Leadership Fable”, “Emotional Intelligence 2.0”, and many more. Wall Street Journal described him as “one of the most in demand speakers in America." In 2008, he was named by Fortune magazine as "one of the new gurus you should know."

PS:

Patrick has been one of the speakers in a previous Global Leadership Summit (GLS).

I would like to introduce to you another of the speakers at the next GLS in Bangalore is on Nov 25, 2017.

Bill Hybels founded The Global Leadership Summit with a commitment to develop & mentor leaders’ worldwide, now impacting leaders in 125 countries. Hybels is the best-selling author of more than 20 books and his new video curriculum, Leading From Here to There: 5 Essential Skills was released in August 2016.

Bill will be speaking on the topic "Leading an organization in an era of divisiveness & disrespect."

We have a growing epidemic of divisiveness and disrespect. A decade ago nearly 50% of the work force has been treated rudely at least once a week. Today, the results are far worse.

Recent surveys revealed that 95% of the population believes that we have a civility problem - and it's getting worse, not better. We are near a crisis point!

The cost?

• Work performance goes down nearly 50% until that issue gets resolved.
• Production is cut in half
• 25% of disrespected workers take their frustrations out on their customers!

Are you facing similar challenges?

Bill Hybels* offers practical solutions in the opening session on “How you can lead through these divisive times”at “The Global Leadership Summit 2017, Corporate Edition”.
