Give, that PHP is single-threaded, I wonder what is happening when one issues a proper CURL call, and there's some normal delay until the remote data is made available.
Surely, nothing in the current process gets to run (Right?). So, what's the advantage of an asynch CURL call vs one of the synch persuasion?
