Hi there, I have problem with Figma not syncing previously activated adobe font in an already existing project. I signed in adobe creative cloud and also in adobe profile on adobe.com, restarted Mac several times and it is still to working. Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone have the same issue with font sincing? Thanks
Hey there. Make sure the fonts are activated in the Creative Cloud App. If they were not used for a certain amount of time, Adobe requires you to redownload the fonts to properly sync them with your system.
Add tags or filters to refine the list of fonts. Use our natural language tags to browse fonts that fit the mood of your project, or you can filter by classification (such as serif or sans serif), properties (x-height, width, or weight), or language.
East Asian fonts must be served with dynamic subsetting, while other fonts have language-based subsetting options: Default, All Characters, or a custom language subset. The Language Support & Subsetting help page has more information on the different options.
Font Display allows you to specify how web fonts are loaded in the web browser and applied to your website. More information about these options is available in our font-display settings help page.
You can access the added fonts in the Add fonts panel inside Creative Cloud desktop app and in the font list in your desktop apps. Some desktop applications, like Microsoft Word, may require a restart after a new font has been added.
Maintain a concise list of added fonts to optimize performance. Fonts you remove are accessible in thePreviously Added tab within the Creative Cloud desktop app, allowing you to conveniently add them back whenever needed
If you launch the Creative Cloud desktop app while offline, fonts won't display in the font lists of your apps. However, if you go offline while the Creative Cloud desktop app is running, added fonts will still be listed and available to use.
Adobe fonts that have not been used in over 150* days need to be reinstalled for use in older Creative Cloud and third-party apps. Creative Cloud keeps apps running smoothly by periodically cleaning up these fonts. (*Number of days is subject to change.)
You can quickly reinstall fonts on the Adobe Fonts website by selecting the cloud icon next to the font name in your Added Fonts list. Once the fonts are reinstalled, they will show up as usual in all your font menus.
And just to hit on your last worry, Adobe CC only sinks data related to your fonts, libraries, assets, etc. It is likely that most of these is either already synced, or not that relevant to what can be redone. It won't affect any .ai or .PSD or any of those kinds of files saved on your computer.
Is there any sort of progress on a fix for this issue? Every week my Creative Cloud becomes stuck in a Loading Adobe Fonts cycle. I rely on some of those fonts for work and waste so much time trying to get it to become unstuck. I've tried a reinstall but it didn't work, but even if it did, I fail to see how reinstalling every week could be considered an acceptable solution.
Also, when possible, we use a different font-family name format to avoid this very issue. You can always check to make sure you're using our font-family name in your CSS/web project to be sure: _fonts#web_projects-section
I'm working in a project with a UI/UX designer, I'm coding his portfólio, for this, I'm using Next (13.4.7) with the app folder, but in the original project in the figma, the designer used the Gelica font, a font of Adobe Fonts. I was thinking that is easy to implement, because the google fonts are super easy, but I'm spending hours trying to use the font in the project.
I need to use the font somehow without use the pages folder, because it will need to do a lot of changes in the project, and I dont have much time do do this. I tried to use local fonts, but there's no way to download the font of Adobe Fonts, and I need to let all in the git repository, because I'm using vercel to deploy the website. What should I do?
Having a issue with fonts recently and I was wondering if anyone has encountered it before? The problem is presenting itself on both mac and pc but very differently. On a mac it is this with the font reverting to Geneva when continuting to type on the line that has the Adobe font.
I currently have a bunch of fonts from Adobe that are not showing up in Affinity Designer. Is there another step I need to do for me to finally use them in Designer? I can see them in DaVinci Resolve so the fonts are recognized from other non-adobe programs, just not Affinity. Thanks!
In earlier versions (with installable physical fonts) the fonts that came with Adobe apps (e.g. Adobe Caslon Pro, Adobe Garamond Pro, Adobe Jenson Pro, Myriad Pro, etc,) might be installed in specific locations accessible to apps that support direct loading of font resources from files (this is not supported in Affinity apps), so this might explain the problem, as well.
thanks for your replies! I actually had to reinstall all the Adobe fonts, just for non-adobe programs in the Creative Cloud app. It threw me off because they were available in other non-adobe programs except Designer. Anyways, all the fonts from the Adobe CC are currently in my Affinity Designer program
Similar situation here, only other app i see installed fonts at this moment is Keynote. So i suppose it is to be system wide, once all apps update to latest custom font API. Hope it will be sooner rather than later because 17000 font library seems sweet and i cant wait to try it out in Designer!
Adobe Fonts isn't shown in Word/Powerpoint either.
Some fonts from other author is shown in many non-Adobe apps.
So I guess Adobe Fonts itself is the problem. I think.
Restricting 3rd party apps?
I'm pretty sure if that endgadget article is incorrect given that Apple released font management as a feature in iOS13 and fonts installed via Adobe CC app (I just have the $10/mo LR sub) work in pages etc. Adobe is just using iOS13 font management, and the Affinity apps haven't hooked into it yet.
They really should, as it's great not to have to mess around with profiles and it's an official Apple feature that will be present going forward.
Would just like to chime in on this. Wasted an hour mucking around with stupid iOS 13 font apps only to find none of the installed fonts show up in Affinity. FFS. They work in e.g. Apple Mail. Please sort this out Affinity!
I wish I'd read this discussion thread before I spent $1.99 in the App store a few minutes ago. Being new to iOS, I'd just assumed that the few fonts I saw within Affinity Photo were all that are available on the device. The one thing I've learned from the AnyFont app is there are tons of fonts already installed.
Pages Numbers and Keynote all see the new font's I've installed from Creative Cloud - but Affinity (and Procreate admittedly) don't. This would be a huge benefit to my workflow to have access to these fonts.
After adding Adobe Fonts, you can apply them to text on your site. The fonts in your web project replace the built-in Adobe Fonts in site styles. To quickly find a custom Adobe Font, search for it by name in the Search box.
If none of your fonts are displaying, check your site for any JavaScript. If you ever used Adobe Fonts' JavaScript method to add fonts to your site, your fonts may not load properly. Remove the JavaScript and follow the steps above to add your Adobe Fonts.
Before following these steps, determine if the issue is related to your browser. If browser troubleshooting doesn't solve the issue, review this section for other common situations you might encounter when changing fonts.
When you have completed adding fonts to your Website project, go to Manage Fonts, and the Web Projects tab, and here you see the Project ID. Copy this and head to the Global Options > Typography > Custom Fonts on your Avada website.
At the bottom of the Custom Font tab is an option to enter your Adobe Fonts ID. Simply enter your specific Web Project ID, and save your changes. Then just refresh your page, and the Adobe fonts will be listed. There is also a Refresh TypeKit Fonts Cache button, that you can use if you change the contents of your linked Web Project (only available in the back-end global options).
Browsing fonts is more intuitive if you click the "Browse More Fonts" button which takes you to fonts.adobe.com. You may have to log in here, if your browser is not already logged in. Once you log in, your browser will sync with your Creative Cloud app and all of the Adobe apps you have installed.
Here you can sort by font type/tag, classification, and properties. You can also preview your own text in the fonts, save favorite fonts, and activate fonts in your Creative Cloud. This is a lot more intuitive and visual than selecting fonts inside your apps with the drop down menu.
Note that in an Adobe application such as Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, or InDesign, you can also filter to only show only Adobe fonts, or to show all fonts. Clicking the filter button will make it easier to see the ones you just activated.
Adobe Fonts (formerly Typekit) is an online service that provides its subscribers with access to its font library, under a single licensing agreement.[1] The fonts may be used directly on websites,[2] or synced via Adobe Creative Cloud to applications on the subscriber's computers.[3]
Any web fonts used for projects through Adobe Fonts are hosted by Adobe, rather than by the brand using them. Therefore, enterprises are unable to host web fonts on their own servers, meaning that they have no control on how a third-party serves up these web fonts in their ads and campaigns. And brands who rely on their agencies to manage and host web pages will soon see disruption too, as Adobe Fonts will no longer enable agencies to host web fonts on behalf of their clients.
