Smallcombe here (original GTA:RCS mod creator) Just posting this update article for the full game/mod download link for the 2022 version of GTA:RCS. This mod needs a story line, missions and a purpose besides a free roam kill time kind of game and unfortunately I need help with a GTA Vice City scripting. If there are any Vice City mission scripters out there who would like to help with some missions for this mod I would happily work with them to get a finished version of this mod uploaded. I have set up everything else regarding the assists and settings for the mod although I am lacking the scripting ability. If you can help please PM me here on Moddb. Below you will find the downloads of the full game/mod on the moddb page. If I manage to find a scripter partner with this project I will update the community here. It is incredible after all these years people still want to play Vice city mods and love the classic VC engine which I much appreciate! Long live Vice City and the modding community!
Even though the franchise has long since left Raccoon City, the city remains an important part of the canon and has been revisited in recent years with the remakes of the second and third mainline entries. It is still kind of a mysterious place in some ways, and seems to never have a concrete identity. The ten facts below might help explain some of the questions surrounding it. One wonders if players will be exploring the city again in the future.
A virus does not get around all by itself. It needs something to carry and spread it to other hosts. In Raccoon City's case, the T-Virus was able to infect the city with the help of rats. Much like rats were the cause o the Bubonic Plague pandemic of the Middle Ages, so did they cause Raccoon City's demise.
Even though Raccoon City is clearly stated to be set in the midwestern United States, the city has several connection to Canada. Mainly, the skyline used in Resident Evil 2's main menu is inspired by Montreal, a Canadian city.
After the T-Virus outbreak, the president of the United States made the impossible decision to blow up the city in order to contain the outbreak. More than 100,000 people were said to have perished in the whole ordeal, though all the Resident Evil protagonists made it out safely.
In Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Rocket Raccoon's ending briefly features the iconic city. The anthropomorphic character mentions needing some relaxation and that Chris told him about his old hometown. Upon arriving, Rocket Raccoon discovers nothing but tons of zombies to take on.
All it ever did was rain in that godforsaken city. Rain. In a world without zombies, in a city without sunshine, there's only one thing worth waiting for - love...and a lot of mess along the way. (An AU world where there are no outbreaks - just people playing cops and playing with hearts.)
A/N: This is just fluff. Just stupid, silly, slightly campy fluff and romance. No great story behind it. Just writing to clear my brain of angst and darkness. Leon gets a little lost in a city filled with rain. He chases after love and ladies and tries to figure out how to be a hero. He makes bad jokes and bad decisions along the way. Capcom owns all rights to Resident Evil. I just play with their creations.
Apparently, the city's ancestors had been hardcore into strange and archaic. The gothic revivalist influence was everywhere. As if someone had taken a bad movie full of eccentric weirdos and turned it into a town. Littered around the R.P.D. was all kinds of strange little gadgets and objects. The precinct was among the most bizarre places Leon had ever seen, from a fountain with missing pieces to an entire room on the second floor that appeared to be a life-sized chess set. And he wasn't entirely sure, but he suspected something weird was happening in this place's basement. He could have sworn he saw someone go into the kennels once, but they'd disappeared when he'd followed them in. Poof.
