I am using Mac M2 Sonoma 14.0 Beta, updated crossover 23 and its not working. Game is not even starting. I can see on the bottle shows that Windows 10 and directX 12 but Battle net still gives me "You need windows 10 machine" error. I uninstall and re-install couple time. Still not working....
And why dont you click on Diablo IV from within the bottle where both Battle.net and Diablo IV are installed (you may ask)?... because if I do so, then it tries to log in to the battle.net launcher and then an error pops up like described in a different thread [ =27;mhl=293529;msg=293516#c7] and that is why it is impossible to launch Diablo IV.
Worked flawlessly just earlier today, and immediately after updating to 23.7.1 it will not launch from steam. Infuriating. Literally just paid for the full version of Crossover specifically to play this.
I am having the same errors as mentioned above in both stand-alone Diablo IV bottle and also tried downloading the battle.net bottle and then installing diablo IV inside that. To no avail. Both have same two errors.
you are a lifesaver. after reinstall it was still doing this to me. it was because the launcher was not in windows 8 comparability but battle.net.exe was still! Thank you so much I hope this works for others like me who are updated properly and still cannot play.
I also have Windows 11, I went to the Diablo 4 folder and set the Diablo IV and Diablo IV Launcher files to run as administrator.
Then I start the Diablo IV Launcher file, which starts the B-Net Launcher as Administrator and when I hit the start button for Diablo IV it asks, if I want to run it as administrator.
In your case, if your version of windows is older than 1909. Then the error is correct, and you need to upgrade windows by running windows updates. If you are running into issues updating Windows then Microsoft support or a local PC repair shop might be best to assist you.
well i dont want to update windows i have it turned off for a reason i dont have any issues playing poe or last epoch so i guess i will just keep playing them. Very disapointed beeing disabled and i had to get my brother to go to kfc to get he key for me

Atualizei tudo que consegui atualizar, mais no consigo por nada botar a verso atual. Na minha tela de atualizao do Windows aparece que meu PC ta atualizado. bahh to na franquia desde Diablo 1, agora no vo conseguir jogar?? Pois jogo WOW e Overwatch 2 normalmente.

So I just wanted to introduce myself by showing my latest script that I made in batch, called VIRINT. It is some kind of very limited paint thingy to make some simple pixel arts. Here are some screenshots:
The movement is kind of unintuitive, but there isn't much I can do about it hahaha. You can select the size of the canvas that you want, the colors to paint with, fill the entire canvas, etc... Oh! You can also save your beautiful paintings anywhere you want, and then load them! You can also run it with '/?' to check out the help, although, it's pretty straight forward to use. The script requires at least Windows 10 version 1909 or newer, otherwise, it won't be able to display the special ANSI escape sequences correctly.

Made a similar script a while back. Got a little carried away with it. Added in color palletes, character sets, Layering [each layer saved to a different file], animation - ability to move the layer NESW or flip/ mirror a layer.

Similar in function to your echoc script, aside from the file reading, It handles many aspects of cursor output from color to position, text deletion, hiding the cursor and Switching between the Main and alternate screen buffers.
GUI is the only reason a big portion of people choose Windows servers over Linux servers. Not everyone want to deal with codes and command lines for every simple and big interaction and task.
WAC (Windows Admin Center) is still in its infancy period, too early to replace a full Windows server GUI and all of its features. I don't think WAC is gonna ever replace a full Windows server GUI (group policy, certificate service, OCSP and all of those little and big options in the server GUI), I mean i would love it to be able to do that but I'm not sure if Microsoft plans to do so.
Windows Server won't be going towards GUI-less until all Microsoft products can run on Core versions. And even then, they won't be able to go GUI-less until all previous Microsoft products that rely on the GUI are out of service.
On a personal note, you should definitely start learning Core. It's has incredible good boot times and requires less updates (no GUI updates/security updates). And for everything else you can still use the Admin Center or MMC snap-ins.

That's why Microsoft offers something for everybody at the moment. You can't install an edition meant for professionals and expect that they add a GUI that holds those back who have a business need for the semi-annual edition because of the features that ship only with Server 1903.
If you need a GUI, then you can install Server 2019, which is really the same at it's core, except a few feature that are intersting for mostly hosting providers or devops. You'll find the list of feature that are only available in 1903 here: -us/windows-server/get-started-19/whats-new-in-windows-server-1903. I'd even argue that there is not a single feature in there that would be used by small and medium companies.

You're comparing apples with oranges. Yes, Windows on the Desktop has unarguably the biggest market share. But if you look on the server side, things look vastly different. Almost every web page runs on Linux. Most developer tools (building and test automation, code repositorys, and so one) run on Linux. Even Azure has more Linux servers running that Windows servers. And one personal experience: we are running 35 Windows Servers and 380 Linux servers in our company.
