great job on the product camp

I just learned from Rich (Bay area) about the product camp in Pune, unfortunately a few days after it was over. I just returned to India after spending 14 years in US, most recently being the VP Product management and marketing at McAfee. One of the things I am passionate about is product management and marketing and have created a venture called Adaptive Marketing (www.adaptivemarketing.in) to build a community of strong PMs and PMMs in India which is key for building product ecosystem in India

 

It would be great if we had some kind of association of all PMs across the country (several of those exists in the US) where existing and wannabe PMs/PMMs can network, learn and excel in their career paths. For instance, the IIM Bangalore guys are trying to put together a PM conclave next month and am copying Alok Shukla who is one of the leads for the event.

 

Would love to engage with the Pune team at your next event/initiative and looking forward to interacting with you all soon

I am not sure if some of you attended the recent Product manager’s conclave in Bangalore hosted by IIM Bangalore (www.iimb-pmconclave.com). Amongst many noteworthy things that happened at the conclave, I wanted to highlight –

 

a)     Launch of India’s first annual PM and PMM survey (www.adaptivemarketing.in/pmsurvey)

b)    Association of International product Managers and marketing managers (AIPMM – www.aipmm.com) started offering their certifications for product managers in India.

 

Please pass on the message to your product manager groups in Pune so they can leverage these initiatives..

If some of you can take the lead in organizing a one day product camp in Pune i can bring the sponsors and help bring top notch speakers - What do you think of doing a Product camp in summer - say May?
