Responsive e-learning design takes its inspiration from responsive web design; an approach that ensures a single version of a website or an e-learning course can provide a viewing experience optimised for different devices, from desktop to tablet to smartphone.

Let me say that actually Adapt is based on portable software/frameworks, but during the standard installation process some paths get hard-coded in the authoring source files. That's also why, even with the Standalone Launcher I did, you must copy and run the adapt package from your C:\ drive (C:\adapt\).

Let me say that I shared this tool to make easier for non technical people to give adapt a try. So let's say for testing purposes. In this scenario moving courses from one instance to others is probably not really needed.

I'm assuming that the test you did, moving course source package from one adapt install to another one, you had the same adapt framework version as well as the same adapt authoring tool version. Could you please confirm that?

5) I search my installation-adapt_authoring folder for a "build folder", and I find more then 20 folders by that name, and none of the folders I've checked contains anything more than just a few javascriptfiles.

How you would go about doing that in any particular learning management system is really beyond the scope of this forum. You should consult the documentation for Moodle Cloud as to how to upload a SCORM course.

Your step-by-step guide worked perfectly. That was a great burden lifted from my shouldes. I think this thread may become helpfull for other "non-technical" guys :-) like me that wonder how to bridge adaptlearning content and moodle.

Get exam-ready efficiently with an adaptive question bank that generates practice tests tailored to your level. With tools to measure your progress, identify your weak areas, get help from our coaches, and more, you can build your confidence step by step and maximize your chances to pass the exam.

Follow the complete study process by combining all the features of Adapt with our online learning platform. Our video lessons, online manuals, and practice quizzes work together to help you understand what you need to know to pass. Whether you need to review the concepts or learn from the very beginning, Adapt + Learn gives you everything you need to pass the exam.

It feels like you are embarking on a learning journey. Rather than having an old fashioned left-hand menu, menu blocks are presented on the first page so that it has a web-like feel. You enter a topic by tapping or clicking on the block and then scroll down the page working your way through the content, opening and closing tabs in accordions, narrative sequences, and image hot spots, just to name a few of the interactive tools on offer. It is a highly visual resource, as text scrolls above the image or images can be placed next to the text. The right selection of images works nicely as signposts for the content. Overall I found it intuitive to figure it out from a learner point of view.

I like the learning design challenges it makes you think about - how to arrange the content in a meaningful way, what menu options help the learner navigate and progress nicely, and how I want the content to work in the layout of the components. In the builder view, you can arrange the content and the interactive tools as components in an article. A page is created with a number of articles which appear as different sections for the learner. You could create the content so that it is highly structured, perhaps numbered in a linear fashion or you could allow the learner to make connections between meanings. It all depends on whether your learners are required to develop higher order learning skills or not, the length of time they have to complete it and what assessment tasks are required.

Another point to consider is whether you use the Adapt tool to present your learning product as a learning resource or an online course. It can work for both scenarios. As a learning resource, it sits nicely within a Learning Management System in a blended learning context. As an online course, it can provide all the information a learner needs.

I'm trying to install the adapt-dragdrop plugin. With the command line pointing to my adapt repository I typed 'adapt install adapt-dragdrop'. The command line said it had been installed, but when I log in to the adapt authoring tool on localhost:5000 the plugin isn't showing up in the list. What am I doing wrong?!

I downloaded adapt-article-reveal from github ( -article-reveal). When I then tried to upload it using the authoring tool I got the error message: 'Plugin upload failed. Package does not contain a schema.'

So I then tried to install it using the command line using 'adapt install adapt-article-reveal'. The component was 'found' and then 'installed successfully' and has appeared at the location adapt_authoring\src\extensions\adapt-article-reveal.

Prepare students for postsecondary-level work. Institutions should employ technology enabled approaches to meet students where they are through redesigned diagnostic tools and adaptive, targeted remediation for students in need of additional preparation to succeed in college-level courses.

I am interested in building out my elearning development skills enough to pick up some side work as a freelancer. I have the basics of Captivate and Storyline down (although I don't use them a whole lot), but don't have a subscription and would prefer not to play the trial version game if possible.

TL;DR : My Question is: With freelancing on side projects in mind, is it really worth it to spend the time learning to make Adapt Authoring functional for use, OR would it make more sense to spend that time learning Storyline (or something else) better?

Here, we can't overwork and come out with 2 versions of the same product: one with Storyline and a skim down version with RISE. We're in an Agile workflow and I just can't afford HR into 2 team re-adapting content for PC and for mobile everytime clients need changes. To us this is money down the drain.

Learning to Adapt 2.0 presents findings from our interviews with institutions and suppliers, which was conducted with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The research includes insights from qualitative interviews with leaders from over 20 institutions about their experiences with adaptive learning, and survey responses from 32 suppliers of adaptive solutions.

The findings featured in this publication will assist adaptive learning vendors looking to better understand how postsecondary institutions are thinking about the adaptive learning market. This report will also assist postsecondary institutions that are either looking to begin the process of piloting adaptive learning, or those that have already taken the plunge and are looking for ways to improve their implementation.

The combination of progressive adaptive exercises coupled with an individualized assessment can help to create the best strategy for your personal needs: athletic endeavors requiring speed; power; endurance; skill development.

We prioritize learning experiences in which students have the agency to make genuine choices. Making decisions about which data to consider, which tools to use and which questions to explore give students opportunities to develop their identity as data-empowered problem solvers.

But all learning is not created equal. There are lots of different ways of learning, and it's important to find the method that works best for you and keeps you productive. No matter which way of learning gives you the best results, it's possible to change the way you study to maximize your learning ability - for example, you don't have to restrict yourself to reading lecture slides if you learn better aurally.

There are seven types of learning styles, but one person isn't limited to just one type of learning. Lots of people respond well to a mix of styles, and will even use different styles in different scenarios.

What is the best study method? There is no 'right' mix or perfect study tip. For students, adapting your degree's curriculum to your own learning style isn't as hard as it may seem. Let's start by getting to know the different styles:

We aren't going to suggest that physical learners should do laps around the lecture hall to improve the way learn, but if this is the best way for you to absorb information then there are ways you can incorporate physicality into your studies. Recording your lectures and listening to them while exercising is one way to boost your learning. Physicality can be applied to your learnings on paper, too: simply visualize the ways your subject would move and exist if it were in front of you to touch.

If logical learner sounds like you, choose a major that makes sense with this learning style. The good news is logic and reasoning are necessary parts of lots of different majors. But no matter what the situation, you can create ways to reason with your coursework. All studies seek the answer to a question, so crafting a logical argument to the way you approach your major will not only help you learn, it will also get you closer to a 4.0.

A lot of lectures and seminars are group-bases, so if you're a solitary learner you might find these scenarios difficult. Most colleges now offer ways to access lecture slides and recordings online, though, meaning you can catch up on the teaching in your own time and space and adapt this to your own learning style. When it comes to solo projects, you'll be well equipped to steam ahead on your own.

Whatever type of learning style fits you best, Trint's automated transcription for education helps you stay ahead of the learning curve. Take a look at the ways Trint helps with coding qualitative data, conducting research focus groups and more:

Tie learning to what people already know
Start with simple concepts people can already understand before proceeding to new and more difficult tasks to prevent them from getting overwhelmed.
