Brothers and sisters,
Great gathering on Saturday. Hurtados, Jennifer and Jenn, we missed you!
For the Parents
We wanted to give you a recap of what we did with the kids. We went over Psalm 67:1-2 (which ties in to the chapter in Radical):
"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us— so that His ways may be known upon the earth, His salvation among all nations."
We did an Easter egg hunt that had jigsaw pieces with the scripture on it. After we gathered all the eggs (some also had stickers and little toys), we recited the scripture together and tried to do hand signals with it while getting all the wiggles out. It was fun! We then put the puzzle together and talked about what the scripture means by asking the kids questions. All the kids did a fantastic job!
It was just the beginning drizzle of rain on the seed, but we are going to try and soak the verse in throughout the coming days with the kids with the plan that we can recite it together and memorize it for our next gathering. Let's do it together. How awesome would it be if we can disciple our kids with God's word as an ever present voice in their hearts and minds.
For the Adults
Candice had a great idea. Let's begin thinking and laying out individually how we see ourselves living radically for God. Maybe at the end of Radical or as we progress through it, we can have a gathering to present and discuss the passions God has put in each of our hearts to serve Him and His creation. We can then collectively encourage, speak into, and see how we can practically help each other in bringing these dreams and visions into reality.
Love you guys,
Juan and Sig
