Guys first of all I want to congatulate Mayank and Rohit for coming
up
with an idea of procurement community.

Lets get back to question , the main concept of stockable and
inventory
is as follows:

Stockable:----Enables you to store the item in an asset subinventory.
you cannot set Stockable to Yes if you set Inventory Item to No.
you cannot set Transactable to Yes if you set Stockable to No.
you cannot set Stockable to Yes if you set Billing Type is Labor or
Expense.

Adding further ,once you set an item stockable and you have Approved
Supplier list does
not have the VMI flag enabled or the Consigned Inventory flag
deselected then only it will allow you to
change the status of stockable attribute.
