can anybody explain the difference between Receipt Routing --direct
delivery and Standard Receipt

They various receipt methods company can adopt
That depends on type of material/type of control company wants on
specific items

Direct Receipt :Receiving and Put away of material to final
destination is done in single transaction

Standard Receipt : Receiving the goods in Receiving location (
transaction1) and from receiving location to final destination
(transaction2)
Here Qty on hand in subinventory is not
updated until delivery( for min max planning or cycle counting))

direct receipt
The receipt of an item directly to its final destination (either
directly to the person who
requested the item or directly to the final inventory location). It
differs from a standard
receipt in that it is received into a receiving location and delivered
in one transaction,
rather than received and delivered in two separate transactions.
