This is a problem we are all experiencing with the date change to June 1st, 2010 and pretty much everyone seems to be experiencing it and Corel is working on a solution as of right now. The only solution for now is to set your PC clock to February (don't change the date or year), run the program to start it up, then change your date back. There is a huge thread on this issue on the Corel forums and they have confirmed this is a program issue and they are working on a patch right now. Gerard Metrailler says to keep an eye on the blogs for the patch when it's released ASAP.
UPDATE! Looks like if you have a demo version (which is what I have direct from Corel) or a naughty pirated version, you're SOL. The issue doesn't seem to exist "apparently" for folks that have the regular retail edition. You can read the official post HERE. Looks like I'll be calling Corel tomorrow!
UPDATE 2! There is a patched dr14.dta floating around on the net that fixes the issue by replacing the old one on your system, however all known download links are no longer functional. Please contact me if you have it (select contact the webmaster from the dropdown on the contact page)!
Simply overwrite the old one in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 or wherever your "All Users" is located. In vista and Windows 7 it will be in C:\Users\All Users\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4
Great advice for the work around, thank you so much. It was a simple idea that i should have thought of but i was too flustered with the idea that corel was not working that i just looked for an answer rather than trying one to begin with.
Seems you might be better known to Corel now as you seem happy to help loads of people who are running illegal copies of the suite to continue doing so. You have a strange concept of morals is all I can say.

No precisa manter a data alterada, assim, para abrir o corel altere a data para o dia 31/05/2010 ou menos, abre o corel normalmente, depois de aberto no feche o programa e altere a data para o dia atual. Uma vez aberto o programa funciona normalmente, abre, salva, exporta, importa e tudo mais, estou usando assim, mas s feche o programa quando no for mais usar, porque para abrir novamente ter que alterar a data de novo. Essa soluo boa para quem no quer ficar com a data atradasa.
Eu trabalho com vrias grficas (terceirizando) e peguei algumas informaes sobre a soluo disto, a mais frequnte foi a reinstalao do Corel aps sua desinstalao completa usando de preferncia um daqueles programas de desinstalao forada (que desinstala tudo do programa e sem deixar vestigios), vou tentar agora a noite se der certo aqui, amanh estarei aqui ou at mesmo hoje! Boa sorte pessoal!

Batas baixar o arquivo abaixo e nele contem o toturial como soulucionar o problema sem precisar alterar a data nem instalar novamente o programa.

Galera, para o erro 24 reinstale o arquivo DR14.dta (procure no google)
quanto ao erro 38 eu fiz o procedimento do Pablo RD e deu certo, no meu j estava no automtico cliquei em iniciar e funcionou na boa!!
No incio do ms de maio fui pego de surpresa com o maldito erro 24 agora dia 06 de julho com o erro 38. A idia de atrazar o relgio boa mas no o ideal j que afeta outros programas. o MSN por exemplo funciona.
O bom da internet a troca de informaes e idias de todos.
Por favor, Infelizmente foi dada uma soluo para alguns, mas para outros (assim como eu) ainda esto com dificuldades! Usando a plataforma do Win Seven, no estamos tendo respaldo em respostas! Por favor, ainda continuamos com o erro #38, e ainda no achamos nem a soluo to pouco Protexis Licensing V2. Aguardo a resposta!
Bom dia galera, o meu e o seguinte.
o erro 38 no me deixa terminar a instalao do programa,quando terminei de instalar e iniciei novamente pra ativa-lo o erro no deixa, e o meu no aparece a opo Protexis Licensing V2 acho e porque no consegui ativa-lo ainda j tentei de tudo.
a intalacao encontrou um problema durante a tentativa de configurar o software.
nao foi pissivel acessr o arquivo: D\x86\cgs17\Setup.msi
esta ao somente e vlida para produtos que estejam atualmente instalados.

Entah apa sebabnya saya juga tidak tahu secara pasti alasan tepatnya. Yang jelas jika CorelDRAW X4 sudah muncul peringatan bug tersebut maka sama sekali CorelDRAW X4 tidak akan bisa kita jalankan. Walaupun muncul peringatan untuk melakukan reinstall, namun percuma saja karena setelah CorelDRAW X4 kita reinstall tetap saja tidak akan bisa kita jalankan.
Memang sangat menjengkelkan jika CorelDRAW X4 sudah muncul peringatan Error 24. Apalagi jika kita dihadapkan sama pekerjaan yang harus secepatnya kita selesaikan. Namun tenang saja karena pada artikel ini saya akan memberikan solusi terbaiknya untuk mengatasi error 24 pada CorelDRAW X4 tanpa harus install ulang.
Silakan Kamu ubah pengaturan tanggal komputer menjadi waktu lebih lama, misal 01 Juli 2016. Kemudian setelah mengubah pengaturan tanggal komputer sekarang Kamu coba buka kembali CorelDRAW X4 apakah masih tampil error 24? Pengalaman saya dengan mengubah pengaturan tanggal ini masalah error 24 akan terselesaikan dan CorelDRAW X4 bisa kita jalankan dengan normal.
Namun kendalanya dengan mengubah pengaturan waktu komputer ini maka akan muncul permasalahan baru. Bagi komputer yang sudah terbiasa mengakses internet maka kini browsernya akan menolak ketika Kamu gunakan. Browser seperti Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Opera Mini, Safari dan lain-lain tidak akan bisa Kamu gunakan jika pengaturan waktu komputer tidak sesuai dengan saat ini. Kecuali jika Kamu mau sedikit ribet dengan mengubah waktu komputer ketika akan menjalankan CorelDRAW X4 kemudian Kamu ubah lagi waktunya ketika akan menggunakan internet.
Namun, sebelum melakukan cara kedua silakan Kamu dowaload dulu file DR14.dta kemudian tempatkan file tersebut pada C:\ProgramData\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 (khusus pengguna OS Windows 7).
Selanjutnya setelah kotak dialog Services aktif silakan Kamu cari Protexis Licensing V2. Kemudian Kamu klik kanan dan klik pilih Stop kemudian Start kembali. Restart komputer dan coba buka program CorelDRAW X4 dan seharusnya kini program CorelDRAW X4 sudah bisa Kamu buka secara normal.

Kak aku telat baca postingan ini. corel nya sudah terlanjur aku uninstall. coba install lagi tapi serial number tidak valid terus T_T udah download keygen lagi tapi masih tidak valid terus. bagaimana ya kak? mohon bantuannya T___T
Cara reset protexis licensing V2 untuk windows 7, punya saya tidak bisa padahal sesuai petunjuk antum ! apakah sebelum meriset tanggal sekarang dirubah, dan tampilan (klik ikon corelnya, apa gitu ! mohon penjelasannya.

mas, dulu saya udah pernah pakai cara yg pertama yg change date and time setting. sekarang saya kalau saya buka coreldraw lagi tulisannya error lagi mas. jadi saya coba lagi pake cara change date dan me reset protexis lisensing. kok nggak bisa ya mas? saya udah coba beberapa kali tapi nggak bisa juga mas. btw saya pake windows 8. mohon sarannya ya mas. butuh banget soalnya.terimakasihh
dulu Saya install Corel X4 Versi Trial. lalu saya hapus dan ketika saya mencoba menginstall kembali, tidak bisa lagi.
saat process instalasi (tombol NEXT) nya tidak bisa di klik. akhirnya harus di Cancel untuk keluar dari preses penginstalan.
