Shell Alvania Grease R3 is a general purpose industrial grease based on a new lithium hydroxystearate soap thickener fortified with anti-oxidant, anti-wear and anti-rust additives. It is suitable for a wide range of operating conditions and temperatures, and offers very significant advantages over conventional lithium greases at high temperature or in the presence of water.
Shell Alvania Grease R3 is part of the Shell Alvania Greases RL series, which also includes Shell Alvania Grease RL1 and Shell Alvania Grease RL2. These greases have different consistencies and are designed for different applications and operating conditions. Shell Alvania Grease RL1 is a soft consistency grease suitable for moderate bearing conditions and low temperature applications. Shell Alvania Grease RL2 is a medium consistency grease ideal for centralised lubrication systems operating at normal temperatures. Shell Alvania Grease RL3 is a medium/hard consistency grease recommended for electric motor bearings.
